The Pheedloop team is knowledgeable, patient, professional and very willing to assist you along the learning curve. Although we anticipated an anxious transition to a new virtual experience, the Pheedloop team and training were always there and alleviated our worries. They were great to work with! We were really pleased with the outcome. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** There is really not much to dislike about this platform or team. It was a good experience! **Recommendations to others considering PheedLoop:** 1)Because we were a non-profit org with a limited budget during COVID, we did without the additional cost of the app. We didn't miss it for a virtual meeting, but we would likely need it to accompany a hybrid and/or on-site meeting. 2) You may need to plug-in third party apps. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** The platform allowed us to convert our on-site CME-accredited annual meeting to a virtual event complete with exhibitor space and attendance certification. This really helped recover a portion of our lost membership and sponsorship during COVID times. Plus, it continues to be a cash cow for our organization because it allows us to post our recorded sessions after the event and stream our ongoing webinars for the remainder of the year/contract. **Official Response from George Wong:** > Hey Lori! Tutorials are detailed and helpful and if I can't find what I need, the email support has been excellent. My favorite part is how pretty everything looks and how easy it is to integrate into my current website. Can't wait to dig into some more features with my next few events. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** I wish I could duplicate an event -- or at least have a repository for things like contracts, email templates, etc that was available across events. Maybe this capability exists within the global settings. Honestly, I haven't had enough time to dig around in there. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** Virtual events are WAY easier to set up and organize in PheedLoop than trying to create custom webpages with video links, etc. PheedLoop has made it SO easy to create an event website -- basically Pheedloop generates the whole thing and I just embed the code into a block on my pages. We put codes everywhere - in sessions, notifications, expo booths, etc. It was a great way to keep attendees engaged throughout the event. I also liked how easy it was to communicate with attendees - we used PheedLoop's email announcements, notifications, and all the chat windows. Overall, the platform is easy to navigate and all of our sessions ran very smoothly. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** The only issue we had was upfront with registrations. A few of our attendees would add their payment information and try to register, but they received an error message that their registration did not go through, but the charge showed up as pending on their account. While the pending charge did go away after a few days, this was frustrating for us and for our attendees. I'm still not sure if this was an issue with Stripe or an issue with PheedLoop. **Recommendations to others considering PheedLoop:** If you're looking for a platform that's budget-friendly, easy-to-use, and attendee-friendly, I would highly recommend PheedLoop. They offer the same, if not more, features than many of the more expensive competitors in the virtual event space. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're showing clients and prospects our thought leadership in the learning and development space through various sessions and client showcases. **Official Response from George Wong:** > Hi Holly! From the beginning, the team at Pheedloop has been supportive, collaborative and transparent. They provided us with numerous training sessions to familiarize our organization with the platform and have continued to support our programming in various ways. They are the most collaborative partner I have ever worked with. They consistently listened to our feedback and integrated some of our suggestions into their platform. This intensive collaborative effort has not only improved the experience for our event attendees, but also created a level of trust between our organization and Pheedloop. They truly feel like a partner who values our insights and experiences. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** There are some technical aspects to Pheedloop which presented a bit of a learning curve to our staff and attendees. I think Pheedloop could benefit from providing a technical support webinar to administrators of the program so that we can be equipped to handle as many technical issues as possible. **Recommendations to others considering PheedLoop:** Connect with your support rep and share your concerns and the opportunities you see for improvement. We have had such an enjoyable and collaborative experience with Pheedloop and that was because I was not afraid to email George and ask for time on his calendar. We had fantastic conversations and every time he would teach me about something new in the platform or describe how others were using it. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed to find a way to connect event attendees with automotive manufacturer representatives for direct networking. We not only accomplished that, but have also been able to provide programming across the nation, whereas previously we were contained to the Metro Detroit area. Pheedloop has allowed us to provide content, networking opportunities and business development opportunities to our membership base. ### 6. The company listens to their customers and works to address their needs and requests. When it comes to specific features of the PheedLoop virtual platform, the messaging system and the private video calls are fantastic and easy to use. Our attendees have reported a positive experience in using these features to network. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** The setup for an event takes practice. Some of the graphic file sizes are not exact and there is a trial and error process to getting a virtual event setup correctly. I would also like to see a better option, even paid, for immediate support during a live event. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a way for our attendees to be able to network in a "speed dating" face to face virtual environment during a virtual event. We did not want our attendees to have to leave the virtual event platform to go to a secondary platform for networking. We reviewed numerous virtual event platforms and settled on PheedLoop based on their messaging and video call system and their video playing/steaming system. Both in one platform. ### 7. PL was the most affordable option for us. Pricing is straightforward and there are no hidden fees. Rather than pay big bucks to an outside team, I was able to have my team do the set up. The user interface for event attendees is clean and simple, generally intuitive, and easy to navigate. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** Because of the DIY nature of the setup, there is a fairly steep learning curve to understand how all the features truly and fully function (I realize this is the consequence of the affordability). The Zoom integration is still lacking some features, like integration with the chat in the platform. The Meet & Stream does not allow for virtual backgrounds or a Zoom-meeting-like setup where all attendees are able to visually and vocally interact with the presenters. The fee for immediate support from PheedLoop on live event days is steep, especially if you only wind up needing help with one thing or nothing (I would be more likely to utilize a fee-per-rush-inquiry model). **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used PheedLoop for our first virtual convention when we were unable to hold events due to the pandemic. Our Board was very hesitant to do a virtual event and held on to our in person until it was painfully clear that it would not happen; fortunately, after the virtual event they were able to say that it went well. We are now also testing it for use with our in-person events, which were basically managed with spreadsheets and our (limited functionality) AMS previously. We hope that this will save us a significant amount of staff time by having all the information in one place, and make the experience more seamless for our members. ### 10. We have a very complex conference to put on, with lots of moving parts, and we've been able to incorporate just about everything we needed into the platform. Their support team has been amazing, walking us through any issues that have arisen and being really responsive to feedback. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** In the virtual world, I think the exhibitor section is probably their weakest area in terms of overall experience for the exhibitors. This is likely specific to our industry (healthcare) but with many regulations and compliance requirements that we need to follow, as well as what the experience is usually like in the non-virtual world for our attendees and exhibitors, I think this is the area where we'll get the most negative feedback for our conference. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** PheedLoop has allowed us to make our poster abstract submission process almost entirely automated, which has been amazing and saved us so much time. In addition, we've been able to make our registration process almost completely automated with the use of different ticket types and promo codes. Because we are a member-based organization and PheedLoop doesn't currently interface with our member database, we still need to validate ticket types purchased, but not having paper registrations has again saved us a ton of time. ### 11. A lot of supports provided by PheedLoop are short videos; these are helpful; however, if you have a particular question trying to find the answer in a 30-minute video can be challenging. **Recommendations to others considering PheedLoop:** The first time you use the platform will be time-consuming, and there will be a lot to learn. This was annoying and frustrating to have to be tied to the computer to activate each session. On the administrator side the set up is easy to understand and you can create customized experiences based on the specific needs of your program easily. You do not need to do a ton of pre training in order to start using the site. Their team is always available for questions and their online help features with videos and suggestions is a great tool. As we used the product, the product grew and was able to better meet our needs. Our attendees really enjoyed their experience on the platform. We had several post-event survey comments indicating it was the best platform they had used since events had moved online, including some of the platforms we had chosen for other events! Sometimes we hear feedback from colleagues internally how they like some of the "fluffy" features on event platforms, like being able to use emojis in chat and want us to chose a platform based around a non-essential feature. So many virtual fair platforms are gimmicky and put too much focus on recreating the "hall" experience, when what's really important is having a clear interface that is easy for employers to customize and simple for a student to navigate. The integrated meet & stream was an excellent resource, and we loved that students could quickly send their resumes or portfolios directly in the platform. We loved having reps from everywhere in the country able to participate, rather than those who could successfully book the full day off to park on campus. You can use it for registration, Call for proposals, sponsorship, Mobile App as well as the virtual platform. We won't get the chance to try any other modules this year as we had contracts with other suppliers already signed, but if our experience with them in June is all we expect, we will look at moving all our modules with them for future events. One upside is the fact that we have total control of the back end. As I said, we have not yet had the chance to really work in it, will be doing that in the coming month or so but from what I can see, it is not as easy as it could be. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being an all inclusive solution will solve having to work with multiple suppliers for one event. All the information will live in the PheedLoop platform instead of being in two or three different places. ### 47. I don't think I was able to use the platform to its full capacity. I was really surprised by all the additional features. As I got familiar with the various integrations I slowly integrated them to create a better virtual event experience. The live support was a huge asset as I frequently used it and they provided prompt needed assistance when building out my event. I like how I can manage information and tasks related to the event such as lead retrieval, contracts, polls, designs, file uploads and more. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** I think the registration process was very confusing for some of our participants and it deterred them from participating. The prescribed complex mandatory password confused many. Our event lasted for several reoccurring weeks. Due to covid, we thought it would be best to have once a week event and for participants, they didn't know they had to enter the prescribed password. Many of our participants are not tech-savvy and are not showing up on time due to the confusion. Our events are free and to have the registration process was difficult to understand for some of our participants. I understand for events that require payment, I think there should be a second option for event planners who are non-profit and provide free services or events to their community. **Recommendations to others considering PheedLoop:** This platform is honestly the best platform I have come across for event planning. I will and have highly recommended it to many other event planners. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to continue our mandate. Covid has thrown a ringer into how we gather and at our organization, we host several events throughout the year. Pheedloop aids us in continuing to provide services and resources to our community. Also due to its virtual nature, we can easily share with others who are looking for similar resources and or services. ### 48. The resources were great but also very time-consuming to review. **Recommendations to others considering PheedLoop:** If you are looking for an easy to implement virtual event platform, I would recommend using Pheedloop. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** Pheedloop helped us solve the issue of holding a conference during a pandemic. The benefits were that we could still bring our members together and provide education and networking. In some ways, it was less work as everything was in one program.
