## Vimeo Reviews
 ### 1. Update on VIMEO

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve R. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

I opened an account at streamable to take some of the load off. At the same time Vimeo seems to have changed. Things are better now. I use their simulated live feature a lot. It rarely goes live and we have to tell people to hit refresh to start the stream. They say it is the browsers fault but it never happens when I do a live stream
That's really the only complaint that I have now. Otherwise, it's all good.

4/23/2026 Update. Things have changed at Vimeo. It seems they have been purchased by Bending Spoons which is my FAVORITE company on this earth. I love what they do and how they do it. That is funny because they also own Streamable which I talked about earlier. Well done!

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

I still have a problem with the streams not starting when I use the simulated live feature but its a minor thing now. We just had to put a notice up telling people to hit refresh if it does not start.

**Recommendations to others considering Vimeo:**

Boxcast,DaCast,Wowza- There are so many providers now that there are a ton of choices. Google Live streaming providers otherwise you end up with Netflix and Hulu.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The simulated live feature is a game changer.

 ### 2. Intuitive Video Management with Excellent Privacy and Sharing Controls

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julia P. | Customer Success Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

The platform is intuitive to use, with clean organization tools that make managing videos simple. I also really value the privacy and sharing controls, which make it easy to securely share content with specific audiences and collaborate with teammates or clients without friction.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

While Vimeo offers a strong overall experience, some of the more advanced features can come with a bit of a learning curve, and certain capabilities are gated behind higher-tier plans. It would be helpful to have a bit more flexibility and access to features without needing to upgrade.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vimeo is solving the challenge of hosting and sharing high-quality video content in a professional, secure, and ad-free environment. Instead of relying on more public platforms, it allows us to control how and where our videos are viewed, manage access permissions, and gather feedback in one place

 ### 3. Great Video Hosting for Client Sharing and Embeds

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Vimeo is great for hosting videos. We use it specifically to host all of our video projects that we can link for our clients to either download the video or use it to embed on their own websites. I like it best for the hosting abilities.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

What I dislike about Vimeo is probably the amount of space they give you for video for the price plan that you're in. It gives me the feeling that I'm about to run out of space or not enough and have to start deleting videos already on the platform.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving the ability for me to host videos on the site. So that I do not need to find an alternative and the pricing is decent. Our clients are able to download the videos and or use the links to embed on their own sites. We also use it to embed on our property websites for clients to use.

 ### 4. Seamless Live Event Management with Vimeo

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

I love using Vimeo for recording videos and live events, which keeps everything I need in one platform, enhancing convenience and efficiency. The live events, in particular, work very well and are easy to manage. The interface for both me and the event participants or speakers is simple and clear, ensuring a smooth experience. I am impressed with the fast processing time for videos and how well the sharing option functions, making it incredibly easy to distribute content. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy, which made getting started with Vimeo stress-free.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

It is not very easy to integrate other apps or extensions, such as timer and pinter.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vimeo to have everything needed in one platform, with fast video processing and effective sharing. It excels in managing live events, providing a simple and clear interface for speakers and participants.

 ### 5. Basic Features and Uncertain Direction Challenge Vimeo's Appeal

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew E. | Technical Support Volunteer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

I used to value the gallery management features and the fantastic community of filmmakers and creative people. Knowing that our videos would be included in that mix and seen by people in the industry was really valuable.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

The management features were really basic when we were using it. I don't know if that's improved or not. The direction Vimeo seems to be moving in is different from what it originally was, making it less appealing for us. It's hard to know exactly what is up with Vimeo or what direction it's gonna go in, and I would be cautious about adopting it right now.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used Vimeo for video hosting, allowing our members to upload videos temporarily for competitions. We valued the gallery management features and the community of filmmakers, but found it basic and ultimately moved to a specialized solution.

 ### 6. Vimeo: Professionalism with Great Storage Capacity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paula Andrea N. | Coordinator Development and innovation, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

I really like Vimeo's extensive experience in the market and its professionalism in all aspects. Additionally, I love how Vimeo incorporates new technologies, which demonstrates its capacity for innovation and adaptation to the changing environment. Statistics are a standout aspect for me, as they offer a wide range of metrics to measure content, which is very beneficial for evaluating its performance. These analytical tools allow me to track in detail and obtain valuable information that helps me make better-informed decisions about the content I develop and share.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

Vimeo's international support is an area I find problematic. While in the United States we have adequate coverage with OTT, in countries like Colombia there is only the option of support through a ticket system that can sometimes be delayed. This is not efficient for urgent needs. The lack of a virtual chat accessible from other countries is a significant barrier to obtaining quick support.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vimeo to store videos in the cloud, create a Netflix-style catalog, stream live events, and enjoy its professionalism and advanced technology.

 ### 7. A creator friendly platform for premium video delivery!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vijay G. | AMA Host / Public Speaker, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

I like the upgraded review tools that allow time-coded feedback and easier version tracking.
AI powered translation and subtitles help reach a global audience more effectively.
Interactive features like quizzes make learning and training videos more engaging.
Mobile bulk upload and management features make the workflow faster and more convenient.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

The pricing structure can feel expensive, especially for small creators.
Customer support response time and issue resolution could be better.
Lower tier plans have noticeable feature limitations that restrict flexibility.
Frequent interface changes can feel confusing and simpler navigation would help.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's useful for my office work, I do share the recordings internally with my seniors just because of this tool! The most important is recording quality is too good.

 ### 8. Easy-to-Use Vimeo With Powerful Editing Tools and a Standout GIF Feature

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel E. | Sr CRM Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

What’s not to love? The UX/UI is easy to use, and there are additional tools that let you edit your video however you want. I’m a big fan of the GIF feature—it’s really leveled up our email marketing creative.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

There’s really nothing to dislike about Vimeo. In my experience, it’s the premier video hosting platform.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It addresses the video capabilities we need for our e-commerce website and helps us support video content more effectively.

 ### 9. Clean, Customizable Player, but the Free Plan Feels Too Restrictive

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aswin K. | Freelancer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

The video play window is clean and with many customisation options and not cluttered like YouTube.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

Free plan is extremely restrictive with only low quality video download options and not much edit options available

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a video hosting platform, it is fast and easily sharable that makes my work easy

 ### 10. Clean, Ad-Free Video Hosting and Sharing But Less Suited For Quick Recordings

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Vimeo is good for hosting and sharing videos, and it provides a clean viewing experience without ads, which works well when I’m sharing content externally.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

It’s not very quick or convenient for recording, which makes it feel slow for quick walk-through thoughts and day-to-day communication. Overall, it comes across as less efficient.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earlier, Vimeo helped with hosting and recording videos in a professional way. However, for quick and faster communication it feels less suitable for day-to-day use, though it can be occasionally good when I have some time. Also, its pricing increases with higher plans and usage.

 ### 11. It a very easy tool to help manage and create videos!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Amas u user of video for quite a long time now. I've become experienced. New updates to the app also have made a big change. Editing videos have never been easier, as I've gotten used to the app things are going smooth.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

I've seen that the prices of some videos are still insanely priced. These cannot be fixed. But a few of the glitches like the restarting one have been fixed in the new update.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I know there are a few glitches, but Vimeo stock is trying there best to fix these, and I am thrilled to tell you they have restored over 40 % of bugs and glitches in the last few months

 ### 12. Great Video Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mandy H. | T, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Vimeo made sharing of videos easy and painless for educational purposes, though I know it can be used much further than that. Implementing it into a daily routine for projects was quick and easy, and I'm grateful there is a free option for it. Fm

For a window of time, I did use this on a weekly basis. Now, it is am excellent resource I keep "in my pocket" for if I need it again for something.

The share feature makes it easy to integrate into regular life and to put into other locations like a forum on Sakai.

Customer service is the only feature I havent use and haven't needed to use, yet

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

It does not let you edit videos within the program. This would be a nice feature to have do that toy don't have to also use other resources/ software.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vimeo was mainly a resource used to video share discussions with other students. I know this is not something the program is limited to. If a video is too long to email... this resource is a great way to get it where it needs to go without taking up all the space in something like Google Drive.

 ### 13. User-Friendly Platform for Hosting Team Videos

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lizzie J. | Marketing Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

I like the fact we can host all our videos on one platform that the entire team can access. It is very user friendly and great to use.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

Occasionally some videos do not buffer properly leading to slow playback.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously I was using YouTube to host videos. Due to their content laws I was not able to upload videos that contained certain information for clients but I can with Vimeo.

 ### 14. Quick Video Uploads to Vimeo with Great Editing and AI Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren M. | Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Its quick and easy to upload to videos to Vimeo. I like the video editing and AI features too

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

I honestly can't think of anything that I dislike about Vimeo

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A central library of videos that can be stored and updated in a central place.

 ### 15. Essential for Filmmakers, Anxious About Pricing, Hoping for Better NLE Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul M. | Filmmaker, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Using Vimeo has been a transformative experience for me as a filmmaker. The platform's private sharing feature is crucial for my projects, allowing seamless collaboration on rough and final cuts. The consistent URL and password system gives me the flexibility to refine submissions without any hassle. Vimeo's robust collaboration tools and privacy settings truly set it apart.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

The price increases have been a little too rapid; and I wish that the review features would integrated with NLEs like Adobe Premiere, so that actual editing workflows could integrate better with cloud collaboration - especially since Frame.io has been such a disappointment after Adobe acquired them for a billion dollars (!).

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Principally, the need to share works in progress with collaborators privately from a stable link, is the main reason to stay with Vimeo.

 ### 16. Vimeo - GREAT Integrations & UI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Morgan M. | Creative Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

We've used Vimeo for a number of years now and still love it, even with a pretty hefty stack of other digital tools and platforms. We are a larger business and use it for hosting our videos. Our video and creative teams find it super easy to navigate, upload, download, etc. We were also pleased that it integrates with MediaValet now, our DAM, which is an added bonus. Stakeholders and team members are both happy and we will continue to use it!

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

Currently, I don't have any constructive feedback to pass along.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making it easy for our team to share videos across channels, customers and platforms.

 ### 17. Professional-Grade Platform with Some Cost Hurdles

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin A.

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

I love using Vimeo as my top-shelf product for my professional online portfolio because of the superior quality of its interface. It feels much more professional compared to YouTube and other services. I appreciate the control it offers over the presentation and quality of my work. Vimeo has always stood out for me as an excellent repository for high-quality video files, which I can directly pull for my personal sites and portfolios. The lightweight and responsive player, which doesn't have a lot of overhead when loading, makes it user-friendly. I like the basic and straightforward UI, and the customization features are particularly beneficial for matching different branding styles on my sites. Also, I've been with Vimeo since the beginning and continue to find value in their offerings, even as I plan to upgrade to leverage more complex features in the future.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

I find that the embed settings and player customization on Vimeo can be quite convoluted, which makes it difficult to maintain a uniform workflow. The structured interface for uploads sometimes hinders the process. The current subscription plans are restrictive due to their annual billing structure, which I find to be inconvenient and burdensome. Additionally, the availability of certain advanced features like showcases is limited at my current subscription level and feels out of reach because of the pricing, which is a bit of a strain on my budget.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vimeo as a high-quality video repository for my professional portfolio, appreciating its lightweight, responsive player and customization features that align with my branding.

 ### 18. Vital Streaming Solution for Our Ministry

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon C. | Assistant Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

I have been using Vimeo for about six years, primarily for recording and live streaming our church services. Vimeo has been invaluable to our ministry, not only for its ability to catalog services but also for reaching out to those who cannot attend in person. The quality and reliability of Vimeo's service have been exceptional, which is why we never looked into other options once we started using it. I appreciate the seamless setup after overcoming an initial learning curve; now, everything is preset and functions like clockwork every week. The live streaming feature is particularly beneficial, allowing us to connect with a global audience. Additionally, I love the detailed content insights Vimeo provides, such as knowing where the videos are viewed and viewer numbers, which helps us in our outreach strategies. Streaming to multiple platforms from one page is another crucial feature we rely on, making it convenient for our volunteers to use. The integration with other services like YouTube and Facebook offers tremendous flexibility and is the biggest benefit for our needs. Overall, I consider Vimeo to be a premiere service for our streaming requirements.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

I would like to change how Vimeo interacts with Facebook for scheduling live streams. Scheduling YouTube has been simple and works every week without issues. However, there was a recent change that now prevents me from scheduling streams to Facebook effectively. Each Sunday, I have to manually input the streaming information for Facebook, which is inconvenient and time-consuming.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vimeo to effectively solve live streaming challenges, enabling us to reach our congregation and community globally. It provides valuable content insights and a seamless stream to multiple platforms, simplifying the process for our volunteers.

 ### 19. High-Quality Video Hosting with Generous Storage Limits

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John C. | Founder, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Great video hosting platform, Ive been using it over a decade. I appreciate the focus on quality video, and large storage limits.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

Lack of simple editing features. The API could be far more robust

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vimeo hosts all of my education course videos, and webinar replays

 ### 20. Viscious Vimeo

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ken D. | "ACTING" CEO/Founder/Creator/SDR/Brander of an extremely complex multi-faceted futuristic Venture, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Nothing I like exists about Vimeo as they don't exist as an entity for me any longer

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

Their entire G-Suite Executive Team needs to be replaced.

**Recommendations to others considering Vimeo:**

Definitely buy vimeo

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have the best alternative to YouTube and direct most all of my traffic to view my vimeo first. The subscription service feature also opened the door to being able to monetize in a way that outshines YouTube.

 ### 21. Great hosting tools for client videos

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mikey S. | Owner/CEO of OrangeWave Creative Media, Media Production, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Vimeo offers a plugin for various video editors (I use Adobe Premiere) that enables time-stamped comments to be brought into the editor, making it even more seamless to get from editing client changes to publishing the video.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

UPDATE: Vimeo has since added the ability to nest folders, which really helps keep projects and clients more organized.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vimeo makes it really easy to send my clients video drafts to review and send final videos for downloading so they can host it on their own channels. I have plenty of storage space and can customize the look of my landing pages to be more professional.

 ### 22. A good alternative to YouTube

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mervin V. | Event Producer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Vimeo is content creator friendly, the paid account has lots of features and tools to support creators. Unlike Youtube there is flexibility (less restrictions) on what you upload. Vimeo also works in countries that YouTube has difficulties. The live streaming feature is easy to use too. Vimeo customer support is quick and prompt too.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

The user interface can be better where tools are easy to access. Though live streaming is easy but Vimeo needs to integrate with streaming softwares like StreamYard, Restream, etc so that audience engagement during streams is easily carried over into these softwares. Currently you cannot see audience reactions and comments in these streaming softwares and you need Vimeo open in another window to access those.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vimeo's ease of use and flexibility in content gives it an edge over YouTube especially for corporate and non-profit sector messaging content where visuals and background music is usually borrowed and not composed when creating videos and announcements..

 ### 23. Easy video sharing, with links that don't change

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcio S. | Editor de Video Sr., E-Learning, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Possibility to share videos and if you need to replace them, just resend without changing the links already spread around.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

The provided band, I think it's little, with many limitations and expensive.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Make classes available for students.

 ### 24. Vimeo stocks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** SAIKRISHNA M. | Accounts Payable & Receivable | Reconciliation | Client & Vendor Management | Flutter iOS/Android Developer | Driving Process Efficiency Through Tech, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

One of the new things I like about Vimeo is how their updated stock footage library offers high-quality, diverse content that saves me a lot of time during creative projects. It’s really rewarding to see the value of my time and effort reflected in the results I get from using Vimeo’s tools and resources.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

Overall, Vimeo Stock is great to use, but one area for improvement could be expanding the free content library or offering more flexible pricing options for creators with limited budgets. That would make it even more accessible and appealing.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vimeo Stock primarily addresses the challenges faced by filmmakers, videographers, and content creators in sourcing high-quality stock footage. By providing a platform where users can access a wide range of professionally shot videos, Vimeo Stock simplifies the process of finding relevant and visually appealing content for projects.

As for how this benefits me, well, it's a win-win situation. Vimeo Stock's existence means that creators have easier access to diverse footage, which can improve the quality and variety of the content they produce. This, in turn, enhances the overall content landscape on platforms like Vimeo, potentially attracting more viewers and users. Plus, it aligns with Vimeo's mission of empowering creators by providing them with the tools and resources they need to bring their visions to life. So, when creators thrive, Vimeo thrives, and as a platform designed to support creativity and expression, that's definitely a positive outcome for me!

 ### 25. Great Pricing with All the Features I Needed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amr K. | Amr Kilany, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

The pricing is great considering it offers all the features i was looking for.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

There is no Arabic transcription available for uploaded videos.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

large size of videos hosting with the aim of scaling i wouldn't worry about storage like other vendors

 ### 26. The best free Loom alternative: Well if you want to store only 1 GB

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Soumya Ranjan M. | Mentor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

- Having a free plan itself is a huge pro.
- I appreciate the continuous changes/releases which fix bugs and introduce little features.
- One of the feature which instantly shares a link after using Vimeo Record is pretty handy for me to send around links to colleagues.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

The limited storage is a huge bummer.
And as mentioned before in my review, the watermark is prominent and off-putting.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have usecases where we have to quickly screen share and show steps to do something and share it with our colleagues and with our external customers through the vimeo links.
We record a screen capture and embed the vimeo link in the helpdesk.
Earlier we were using Loom for that, but the free plan was too restrictive in terms of the video length etc. So we moved to Vimeo Record and have been happy since then.

 ### 27. Easy Editing and Sharing Make This a Standout Choice

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica C. | Founder/CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

I like the easy interface, especially for editing, and the sharing options. I also appreciate being able to organize my videos into a library.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

I wish I had more storage space, and that bulk edits were possible.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can keep all my videos in one place. Mainly, I use them for admin content on my website, and for content my clients pay for. I appreciate that a Vimeo URL can slide in to just about anyplace and pop up flawlessly for users.

 ### 28. Customizable Video Hosting with High-Quality Playback

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea D. | Content Creator, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

I like the customizable video hosting offering high-quality playback for creators and businesses.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

Pricing structure is really expensive specially for small creators.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unbranded and unsecure video-hosting.

 ### 29. Seamless, Easy, and Entertaining Streaming with Vimeo

**Reviewed by:** Suzanne N. | Fundraising Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

It made streaming so seamless, easy and entertaining.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

I haven't found anything I dislike about Vimeo.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me stream videos that are otherwise inaccessible.

 ### 30. Vimeo as Backup Storage Place for Videos

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen L. | Instructional Designer & Marketing Support, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

I'm able to track analytics and it also serves as our backup for all the videos we created.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

It's not really dislike. More of a suggestion. Or probably it's just me who doesnt know if this can be changed in the settings. Sometimes we upload videos that are not for public viewing (yet). Hopefully there is an option in Vimeo to automatically set the privacy to private or unlisted the moment it is uploaded.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

backup storage, video hosting for our training platform

 ### 31. A little confusing to navigate but a great selection.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas H. | Producer/Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Its direct upload integration into premier is pretty handy. It makes the process of outputting a movie file and getting it up into Vimeo for a client to review quicker, with less steps.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

The setup of getting to certain functions like replacing a video, etc... has become a bit more convoluted- things just aren't where you intuitively expect them to be. And the interface seems to change too often. I'm sure it's in attempts to make it better, but al the changes just make it frustration. I wish they would find a process and just stick with it.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Every video producer needs great B-roll and this is a good, if expensive, source. It saves additional shooting sometimes, and sometimes gives you access to clips you just couldn't afford to go shoot.

 ### 32. Easy-to-Watch Shared Training Videos, But Could Use More to Improve

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandi B. | Child Engagement Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

easy to watch shared training videos included in relias trainings

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

no discernable downsides to using the service

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ability to view training content that has been recorded if live events have not been attended

 ### 33. I use Vimeo every day for my video production company

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meredith C. | Director/Editor/Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Recently Vimeo made it easier to organize folders for clients and for automatically uploading videos with my preferred settings. It's now easier to get to the review tool from most pages. I love using the review tool with my clients - it makes it so much easier to make adjustments to the video.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

Customer service is still a little flawed but they do eventually get you an answer. I wish that I could send a client an old set of vimeo notes if the video is replaced but I'm happy I can still read them.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vimeo gives me a place to upload videos for review and changes from my clients. I also embedd my Vimeo videos into my website because i know the quality will be amazing!

 ### 34. Vimeo: The Ultimate Platform for placing videos for my online courses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

I love the choices in either publishing or hiding videos. Vimeo is my go to place for all my online lessons and videos I make for clients. Using Vimeo makes me feel good.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

So much choices! But that is good too.One thing I would like to be added is a a more publice feature, findable in search engines, like Youtube.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vimeo for my online trainings as well as for my video production company. Some videos must be embedded in the online course website, others I must share with a marketing department of just one clients. Vimeo provides features for all those things.

 ### 35. Great video tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Florence B. | Community Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

We primarily use Vimeo to host the video that we embed on our website without ads or other messaging. We're very satisfied with this usage. The video quality is excellent and the AI-generated subtitles are quite accurate. I also appreciate that I can select a thumbnail images from any frame in the video.I s

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

I love the Vimeo platform but the UI isn't so intuitive. I would like to test it out for hosting webinars but I'm very intimidated and nervous about making the switch from Zoom.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Hosting video content around our product and industry to train and educate our customer base
- Allowing us to create dedicated channels based on topics of interest
- Ensuring users stay within our company's channel

 ### 36. On its way to becoming the perfect product!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam Y. | Head of Post Production, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Over the last year, Vimeo OTT has expanded its horizons and capabilities to stay on top of creator needs in the streaming community. With products that look as sleek as big name studios, Vimeo OTT allows creators the opportunity to showcase their work in an environment that's neatly organized, elegantly displayed, and easy to use.

From the initial on-boarding to daily use, the Vimeo support team is there for any questions and concerns. They make what could be a monumental hurdle feel easy with their ability to integrate existing metadata into your new library of uploads. Plus, the customization of your OTT platform allows your viewers to have an experience tailored to your content's strengths, giving you the control to put the creative you want to highlight in front of them in an easily digestible UI.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

The analytics currently available for Vimeo OTT are fairly barebones at the moment, however the Vimeo OTT team is actively working on addressing this. Additionally, there are no options for multitrack audio and the livestream engagement features are significantly limited compared to other livestream platforms. As Vimeo OTT continues to grow, I have no doubt these updates will be rolled into their future packaging.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most concerning part about being a creator in the current environment is the ever-evolving landscape of reliable revenue. Having Vimeo OTT has allowed us a modicum of stability in an otherwise fluctuating creative field.

 ### 37. Best platform, Where Details Define the Story.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sirsendu S. | Lighting & Compositing Artist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

One thing I’ve come to really appreciate about Vimeo is how clean and distraction-free the viewing experience , especially compared to other platforms. It really respects the work. Whether you're sharing with a client or showcasing a personal project, the focus stays entirely on the video itself. Also, the review tools are a huge win — being able to get frame-specific feedback directly on the video saves time and makes collaboration feel smoother and more intentional.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

Vimeo overall offers a great experience, but there’s always room to improve. One area that could use attention is mobile optimization — sometimes the review tools feel a bit limited or clunky on smaller screens, especially when trying to leave time-coded comments. Also, while the creative tools are powerful, a more intuitive onboarding or tutorial system for newer users could help unlock their full potential faster. It’s a great platform, and polishing these small gaps could make it even more accessible and seamless.

**Recommendations to others considering Vimeo:**

Vimeo stocks like no others. I cannot compare it with another site .it is far better than other stock footage sites. It has uncountable stock footage; you can use your work .strongly recommend Vimeo stock.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There is nothing to do to solve Vimeo stock. Talking about benefits, I realized that there is much stock footage that I use for my showreel. It's easy to download, and the payment mode is also hassled free.

 ### 38. Vimeo has made Uploading and Organizing Videos Easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mayank K. | Social Media Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

I like how easy it is to upload and save my videos. I can record my screen and send the video to others quickly. The website is simple to use and doesn’t give me any problems. I also like that I get lots of space to store videos every week.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

I think Vimeo can add more tools for live videos. It would be nice if we could ask questions, do polls, or talk with people while the video is live. Also, more details about who watches the videos would help a lot.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vimeo offers incredibly high-quality video. When the initial movie was shot successfully, everything is usually crystal clear. Compared to public audience platforms like YouTube, there is a sizable local community of Vimeo creators who are more skilled and also work-approved. It includes important tools for videotaping the executives. I really appreciate Vimeo's social networking features, which let us connect with other users in an open way.

 ### 39. Best Video hosting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Video hosting at the best rates ever known

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

I dislike the price for livestream option

**Recommendations to others considering Vimeo:**

 ### 40. User-Friendly, High-Quality Compression at a Great Price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Massimiliano B. | Film Artist in Residence, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Easy and user-friendly interface, great compression algorithm that doesn't lower the quality, affordable yearly subscription prices.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

The last user interface takes a little time to be understood.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's not clear the principle by which Vimeo promotes some videos on its main page.

 ### 41. Much better than in years past

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin V. | Account Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

I like the interface, the ux improvements, that you can organize files into folders.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

I think sometimes the UX is a little slow, some lagging of sorts even in fast connections. Some sections are not auto-save yet. Also I would like to edit presets, at this time you cannot.

**Recommendations to others considering Vimeo:**

Get your feet wet and dive in. Their support pages are great.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I really like the mobile accessibility, much much better than years past. Overall it seems more solid and stable, but I feel it is focusing much more on branding / marketing than on corporate comms.

 ### 42. Amazing on demand platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mayara M. | Media Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

I like using Vimeo as an on-demand platform. The site is clean, professional, and intuitive.

I like that we can sell or rent our videos, and we (as creators) can keep more of the money compared to other platforms. It’s a great place to find short videos, documentaries, and online courses that you might not see anywhere else.

Everything feels more personal and creative, and it’s easy to use. If you enjoy high-quality videos and want to support independent creators, Vimeo On Demand is a great choice.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

I don’t really dislike anything about it. It does exactly what I need for now.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can upload any video I want without worrying about storage limits

 ### 43. Incredibly useful for specific tasks, Vimeo could be for you

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cam M. | Executive Editor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

The hosting on Vimeo has stayed the same, though we haven't quite utilized it to the best of our abilities yet, I'd say. What makes it imperative for use still is the fact that we can almost live edit all together from a remote environment with employees of mine in Mexico and/or India all giving input in almost real-time.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

Would like to see perhaps some AI-integrated video editing options built in to the playback; but that's not why we're using Vimeo, in all reality.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Edits; it was easiest for us to upload our Streamyard videos into the Vimeo platform, and share the link to a team of consultants and coworkers so that we could identify and navigate back to edits necessary in our video processes.

 ### 44. Easy to use livestreaming and video hosting solution for virtual events

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Devendra Kumar P. | Digital Transformation Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Vimeo has evolved from live streaming platform to a complete video management platform

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

Better options to capture screen and generate content

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Virtual event live streaming of webinars
Customer engagement

 ### 45. Great partner video platform

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin H. | Customer Service and Operations Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

We partner with Vimeo to host videos for our customers. The video quality is great and upload system is decently intiuitive. Customers appear happy! When we have need of data deletions, reaching out to the Support Team is very easy and they reply incredibly quickly (give them a raise)!

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

This service is very expensive and the outages occur frequently. As customers are unable to differentiate (nor should they) outages caused by our systems and outages caused by our partner, Vimeo, this can have a severe impact on our brand.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vimeo helps us host our content on our platform and seamlessly blends into our customers' use of the app.

 ### 46. I like it, I look forward to use it daily.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** vivek . | Project Manager - Scrum team, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

I really like the way it enhancing my use experience and the new alignment has been indeed the most best.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

Considering the current Indian users, upgrade packages are a little hard to buy for a middle-class personality.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me vimeo feels more authentic, I suggested to host our product videos in my old company as well. When I say authentic it means that it has a corporate look to it and also share our portfolio of product videos easily to the user.

 ### 47. Vimeo, solid video platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul B. | Customer Experience Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Used as internal company video storage helped managing thousands of videos.

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

The slow loading times that videos shows, and the fact that its service is banned in some countries.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows to display videos in our proprietary platform, to serve videos reserved to our members only.

 ### 48. all in one solution for video content hosting , distribution , collaboration and embedding

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madhav B. | Digital Healthcare Consultant, Hospital & Health Care, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Vimeo is all in one platform for video storage , collaboration , hosting , distribution and editing. It something easy to start and get going. We use it for all the video content hosting and distribution in out organisation and is used on daily basis. It has integrated with zoom and zapier very easily

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

Cost can sometimes become high for non institutional users

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All the organisation content is beiung hosted on Vimeo , it gives better customisation and access control as well as prevents downloads where we dont want. All the organisations content shared across different platforms is stored here

 ### 49. Does everything we want and more.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Behn T. | Project Manager (streaming), administration and production, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

Scalability - from hosting videos on private links all the way up to running full live streams without needing anything other than a browser!

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

Awful, awful pricing structure. Need a little extra space, sign up for a new subscription with lots of other stuff you'd never use. Happy with subscription but want more caption hours, tough luck - there's no way to add that without you signing up for a completely different package.

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a streaming and on-demand hosting company, we need a failsafe video host. We looked into our own server but the cost was high and we'd need to code a lot of it ourselves. Vimeo fills that gap really well.
Primariliy we host private videos that are locked to our domains (easy to set up, thank you Vimeo!) that we then link across to our platform. Really easy to do in vimeo, no watermarks (unless we want them) and without people being able to access the back-end host to download them (that I've found - and believe me I have tried!)
We also use their live streams, all as sending a RTMP stream to Vimeo to transcode and host. Never had an issue with Vimeo ever. Player is easy to brand, captions can be enabled (but don't ask if you can buy more caption hours!) and the whole lot can be recorded onto your Vimeo too (or not, it's an option) so you have a back up in the cloud almost immediately.

Uploading to Vimeo is a bit of a faff if you use their uploader (one file at a time, have to keep the web page open and if you get updates, you start all over again) BUT Vimeo will let you integrate with OneDrive/Google Drive etc. so you can leave files uploading to your hosting service before running the Vimeo web apps to transfer the files within SECONDS! - you also get a handy 2nd back up on your cloud host too. Nice one Vimeo :)

Their on-line tools are basic, but do what you need. If you're chopping the start and end off a recorded stream/uploaded video that's really easy to do. There are other options, but if we're heading down that line we're going to do it properly via Premiere!

It's a shame that some options don't follow through to all levels of subscription - when we had a basic low GB subscription we could share folders with our clients that they could download. Now we're on a Pro account, that's impossible (!?). But as mentioned earlier, as we have a back up of everything on the Googs Drive, that's how we share nowadays.

All in all, Vimeo is the best video host/CMS that I've found for small businesses.

 ### 50. Best Screen recoder i ever use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harsh K. | TechySecret (Freelance) | Website Content & SEO Specialist | 2023 - Present, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Vimeo?**

One thing which is I really liked about Vimeo is their "showcase" feature. Which allow us to create a video portfolio as well

**What do you dislike about Vimeo?**

Yes, there is something that review should want to improve which is their ui because some of the ui feature is looking complex especially when managing large video libraries or navigating settings

**What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provide high quality screen recording video without loosing FPS
